Acquisition of St Ives U.S. Division Posted: January 3, 2009 USA(January 2 2009) - The management of St Ives U.S. Division is pleased to announce that it has today entered into an agreement to purchase the U.S. Division from St Ives plc. The acquisition is subject to St Ives plc shareholder approval and is expected to be completed in January 2009. St Ives U.S. Division continues to invest in new technologies and our people. The new Komori Press in Florida has exceeded our expectations and a second Komori will be installed in March 2009. We continue start-up of Cleveland’s automated fulfillment equipment and are planning a third new Komori Press installation. In 2009, we will further enhance our St Ives On-Line™ systems to better serve our customers and increase productivity. Our Creative business has been relocated into new studios within our Hollywood building along with upgrades to our systems and service packages. We have embarked on a path of continuous improvement by training multiple teams in Lean/Six Sigma. Our people continue to respond and realize we must drive out waste and improve our process quality to meet and exceed our customer’s quality and performance expectations.
